White Horse Theatre brings English-language theatre of warmth, professionalism and artistic distinction to schools and venues throughout Germany and across Europe. Each year, alots of audience members attend our performances and discover English not simply as a school subject, but as a living, immediate language brought vividly to life on stage.

It is especially important to us to introduce young people to the English language in a way that inspires, moves and remains with them. Theatre opens doors that extend far beyond conventional learning: it awakens curiosity, broadens horizons, and allows language to be experienced in all its vitality, musicality and expressive force. For teachers, this offers a valuable enrichment of classroom learning; for pupils, it creates an experience that combines education and enjoyment in a particularly memorable way.

As a touring theatre, we are not tied to any one location. This enables us to visit schools of every type directly on site, from primary schools to sixth forms, as well as municipal theatres, community venues and other performance spaces. With flexible staging and mobile technical equipment, we bring professional theatre to the places where young people learn, explore and share cultural experiences together.

For the 2026/2027 season, we present three productions for different age groups and levels of language proficiency:

Each of these productions is performed by four professional native English-speaking actors, and each cast brings its own interpretation to the stage. In this way, every performance remains vivid, fresh and distinctive.

Our productions combine authentic English, clarity of performance and artistic quality. They develop listening skills, strengthen students’ feel for the language, and at the same time offer direct access to literature, character and theme. For schools, this creates a valuable space in which language learning, cultural education and the experience of theatre come together in a meaningful and rewarding way.

Our motto, “Learn English through Theatre,” expresses precisely this idea: language becomes truly lasting when it is not only learned, but experienced. When pupils watch an English-language performance, they encounter English in its natural form — alive, expressive and full of atmosphere.

Behind every production stands an experienced professional team. Our actors are trained stage performers and native speakers, and castings take place regularly in London. Direction, design and technical preparation are all entrusted to experienced theatre professionals. Schools can therefore rely on performances that are both educationally valuable and artistically accomplished.
